Online video player for any format

GoPro, DJI and Insta360 record HEVC — often 4K, 60 frames per second and 10-bit. If your graphics chip cannot decode that stream, the browser cannot show it, so the player prepares a copy in software; before it starts, it measures the speed and names the time. It is faster to open the light copy the camera writes next to the clip: the .LRV file on GoPro or the .LRF file on DJI with the same number.

Yes. Browsers do not play AC-3, E-AC-3 or DTS, so the picture starts at once and the player rebuilds the sound next to it without touching the video. Tracks in other languages are switched in the Sound panel.

Usually yes. Old .srt files are often saved in Windows-1252 (Western European) or Windows-1251 (Cyrillic) rather than UTF-8, and a player that assumes UTF-8 turns accented letters into “é”. This one detects UTF-8, UTF-16, Windows-1252 and Windows-1251 by itself and shows the encoding under the subtitle list. If the text runs ahead of the lines or lags behind, shift it with the Subtitle delay slider or by half a second with the G and H keys.

A file your browser cannot show by itself is converted in 15-second pieces from the start. You can seek within the part that is ready — the line under the video says up to which minute.

That is how a recording stopped halfway or an incomplete download looks: the frame table (the moov atom) was never written. The frames themselves are usually there — Video Repair rebuilds the missing table.

Yes. Pick several episodes at once, drop the folder on the zone or press “Open a folder”. The list is sorted the way people number things — episode 2 before episode 10 — and starts on the first episode you have not finished. At the end of an episode the next one is offered and, unless you turn that off, starts after five seconds; Shift+N and Shift+P switch by hand. A subtitle file named like the episode (“Episode 02.srt”, “Episode 02.en.srt”) is attached automatically, in your language first. In Chrome and Edge on a computer the player also offers to reopen the last folder.

Yes. ASS and SSA are drawn by libass, the library VLC and mpv use, with their positions, fonts, colors, outlines and karaoke effects; fonts attached to an MKV are used as they are. If you would rather read plain text at the bottom in your own size and color, choose “show as plain text” in the Subtitles panel.
