New tool: a career test for teens

A user asked us for career-orientation tests for teenagers — so we built a career test for teens. Rate 60 everyday activities (about 10 minutes) and it maps your interests on the RIASEC / Holland model, then suggests careers that fit you. Each one is shown with its typical pay, projected job growth and how exposed it is to AI — with a link to explore that career's automation outlook. It's free, needs no signup, runs in your browser and works in 9 languages. It's for exploration, not a verdict — interests grow, especially in your teens. We're sharing it now, as the school year ends — a calm moment to think about what comes next. Thanks for the idea; send yours via "Request a tool".

New tool: a hash type identifier

A user asked for it, so we built a hash type identifier. Paste a hash and it shows which algorithm most likely produced it: MD5, SHA, bcrypt, Argon2, NTLM, MySQL and dozens more. For self-describing formats it decodes the parameters (cost, memory, iterations, salt), shows the matching hashcat and John modes, handles whole lists and dumps, and — if you know the original text — can prove the algorithm by recomputing it. It only identifies the algorithm: it doesn't crack hashes or reveal passwords, and the analysis runs in your browser. We hope you'll use it in good faith — for your own systems, authorized testing and learning. Thanks for the idea; send yours via "Request a tool".

Profanity remover: a big update, now for video too

The "remove profanity" tool for audio and video recognises Russian speech and mutes swear words exactly by timecode — with a beep, silence, a duck, or your own sound, no manual editing. What's new: for video, a visual censor mark right on the picture (dim, shake or a red border), visible even in muted autoplay; a live preview of the effect before you download; the tool now adapts to the file with an audio/video switch; a word-coverage slider and word-list import from a file.

New tool: Profanity checker

Need to make sure a text is clean? The new Profanity Checker scans any text for swearing and slurs across 9 languages, highlights every hit and can mask it to ●●●. It sees through obfuscation too — sp@ced letters, mixed scripts and leetspeak do not slip past. Handy for moderating comments, names, reviews or chat before they go live. Free and instant.

New tool: English word stress

Not sure whether to say REcord or reCORD? Our new Word Stress tool shows exactly which syllable to stress in any English word — and it gets heteronyms right: it reads the sentence and tells the noun «REcord» from the verb «reCORD». Paste a word or a whole text, hear it out loud, and pick up natural pronunciation in seconds. Free, right in your browser.

New tool: Poetry Analyzer

The poetry analyzer finds the metre, rhyme, syllables and form of a poem, helps you polish your own lines and compare two texts side by side. The idea for the whole tool came from our user Олег — a poet who wanted to break down and refine his own verse right in the browser. Open the poetry analyzer and try it on your own text.
