Real worldwide city dictionary
Moves are checked against tens of thousands of real cities with their local-language names, so genuine cities are accepted instead of wrongly rejected.

How do you play the Cities game?

One player names a city; the next must name a different real city that begins with the last letter of the previous one. No repeats. The player who cannot name a valid city loses.

What about cities ending in the soft sign, hard sign, Y or I?

By the common rule the chain steps back to the previous usable letter (Perm → M). Cities starting with Y and I do exist, so a “Strict Y/I” option lets you require a real city on those letters instead of skipping.

Can I play with a friend online?

Yes. Create a room and send the link or QR code. The two browsers connect peer-to-peer; the host validates each move against the same city dictionary, and a tab reload reconnects automatically.

Why was my city rejected?

A move must be a real city in the dictionary, start with the required letter, and not have been used already. If you only mistyped it, you will get a “did you mean…?” suggestion you can accept with one tap.

Can the hard computer be beaten?

Yes, but it plays a scarcity strategy — steering you toward letters with few remaining cities — and solves the endgame exactly. Beat it by keeping cities in reserve on rare letters and forcing it onto a dead end first.
