Which devices support vibration?

Physical vibration works on Android phones in Chrome, Firefox and Samsung Internet. On iPhone and desktop the Web Vibration API is unavailable — there you get a visual pulse, and on a PC you can connect a game controller and feel the rhythm through it.

Is this for deaf users?

Yes. It lets deaf and hard-of-hearing people experience music through phone vibration. It is also great for anyone who wants to feel the rhythm by touch.

Why don’t I feel vibration even though music is playing?

Most often the system itself mutes the vibration motor: Battery saver, Do Not Disturb or Silent mode. The tool checks the motor with the motion sensor and shows a tip on exactly what to turn on so vibration works.

How is the audio processed?

The sound is analyzed right in your browser via the Web Audio API — no install needed, and the rhythm of the music itself drives the vibration pulses.
