Why landmark alignment beats a simple cut-and-paste

A plain face swap copies a rectangle from one face to another — the result is tilted wrong, the skin tone jumps, and the edges show. This tool detects 68 facial landmarks (eyes, nose, mouth, jaw) on each face, builds a triangle mesh, and warps each face so its features line up with the other person’s pose. A convex-hull mask with feathered edges and per-channel colour transfer then blends the skin tone and lighting, so the swapped face sits naturally in the photo.

Why does it need clear, front-facing faces?

The swap aligns 68 facial landmarks on each face. Strong profile angles, sunglasses, masks or heavy shadows make those landmarks hard to detect, so a front-facing, well-lit photo gives the best result.

Can I fine-tune the result?
