Russian mandatory marking check and TN VED code lookup
An online tool to check whether a product falls under Russia’s mandatory Chestny ZNAK marking. Type a name or a TN VED code, or point the camera at a barcode — the tool shows the marking group under list 792-r, the stage as of today, the upcoming dates (remaining stock, ban on unmarked goods, permit mode at the register), the exemptions, and finds the EAEU TN VED code with its description.
How to check a product
Type a product name, a TN VED or OKPD 2 code — or scan a barcode with the camera.
Pick the matching heading in the list: each one shows right away whether it is marked.
Answer the clarifying questions if they appear — they lift exemptions and drop extra groups.
Download the action plan as PDF and add the dates to your calendar.
Find out whether a product needs marking and look up its TN VED code
Product name (in English or Russian), TN VED code (4–10 digits), OKPD 2, barcode or marking code.
Point the camera at the barcode or the square marking code.
OKPD 2 and a check on another date
Under the footnote to the list, a product must be marked when both the TN VED and the OKPD 2 codes match. OKPD 2 is in the declaration of conformity, the certificate or the maker’s records.
Today by default. Pick a future date to see what changes.
Answer
The answer appears at once: marking group, stage as of today, upcoming dates and the legal basis.
Marking data as of Oct 21, 2026. The list is Government Order 792-r as amended by 1765-r, 249-r and 956-r; dates checked against the marking operator’s calendar. List items, their notes and TN VED descriptions are quoted in the official Russian wording.
Clarify — the answer depends on it
The questions come from the notes to the list: each “yes” or “no” can lift the marking duty or drop a group that does not apply.
EAEU TN VED code (official Russian descriptions)
The code is set by the declarant. Check it against the declaration or certificate of conformity; in a dispute with customs you can request a preliminary classification ruling from the FCS.

What to do: a plan for your role
Enter a number to see the cost of marking codes.
All dates for the group
Check a product first.
List items and exemptions, verbatim
List items appear after a check.
Check a list of codes
Paste a column of TN VED codes from 1C, Excel or a declaration — one code per line. A line with an article and a name works too: the code is picked out of it. Up to 500 codes at a time.
This is guidance, not legal advice. The deciding documents are the list of goods (Russian Government Order 792-r), the marking rules of the group and the code the declarant states. The tool is not affiliated with the marking system operator.
