An online tool for moving files between devices that share no network. One screen renders the file as a fast stream of QR codes; the other device reads them through its camera and rebuilds the file. The optical channel works where Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirDrop and cables do not, and needs nothing but a screen and a camera. Free, no sign-up.

How fast is it?
   
Each frame carries 2953 bytes, so the camera frame rate sets the pace: a good setup reaches roughly a hundred kilobytes per second. A document or a key takes seconds, a photo half a minute, a 10 MB file a couple of minutes.
 
 
  
Can I transfer a file from my phone to a computer?
   
Yes — if the computer has a camera. Laptops have one built in: show the QR stream on the phone and film it with the webcam. A desktop without any camera cannot receive: the receiving side must have a camera. Sending from a computer to a phone has no such limit — every computer has a screen.
 
 
  
Can it handle large files?
   
Yes. The file is split into segments and each finished segment is written to disk immediately. A large file is not one unbroken session but several goes — pause, rest and continue.
 
 
  
What if the camera misses frames?
   
That is expected. A fountain code is used, so the receiver needs enough frames rather than specific numbered ones. Misses cost time; they do not break the transfer.
 
 
  
Do I need internet?
   
Only to open the page itself. The transfer is optical — screen to camera — and uses no network.
 
 
  
How do I know the file is not corrupted?
   
The sender transmits a checksum of the whole file. After assembly the receiver recomputes it, compares the two and shows the result on screen.
