Phone Keyboard Test for Autocorrect, Lag and Wrong Letters
A free online phone keyboard test that checks what your on-screen keyboard actually types. Type a short phrase and the tool compares the result letter by letter — flagging autocorrect substitutions, missing or wrong characters, and slow, laggy typing. When a problem is found you get a tailored fix guide for iPhone or Android. It also lights up keys for an external Bluetooth or USB keyboard. Runs in your browser, no installation needed.
How to Test Your Phone Keyboard
Tap the highlighted phrase to open your on-screen keyboard, then type it exactly as shown.
Letters turn green when correct and red when wrong; autocorrect changes appear as a live log and the coverage grid lights up each character you produce.
Tap “See results” for a summary of detected issues — autocorrect substitutions, missing or wrong letters, and typing lag.
Use the iPhone or Android steps below the report to fix the keyboard, or connect an external keyboard to test its keys directly.

No substitutions yet — type a few words and watch this list.
Character coverage
Each character lights up once it appears in what you typed.
This is your typing rhythm, not device latency: the browser only sees a character after the keyboard has committed it, so true key-render lag cannot be measured here.
Live event inspector
Every event your keyboard sends, in order — useful for developers.

How to fix it
Fix the keyboard on iPhone / iPad
- Update to the latest iOS (Settings → General → Software Update) — several keyboard bugs are fixed in updates.
- Turn off Auto-Correction and Predictive (Settings → General → Keyboard) if it keeps changing your words.
- Reset the keyboard dictionary (Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Reset → Reset Keyboard Dictionary).
- Restart the iPhone, or switch keyboard in Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards.
Fix the keyboard on Android (Gboard)
- Clear the Gboard cache (Settings → Apps → Gboard → Storage → Clear cache).
- Turn off Text correction options (Gboard settings → Text correction).
- Update Gboard from the Play Store.
- If words are still wrong, clear Gboard storage to reset learned words, or switch the default keyboard.
On a desktop computer

How this works: a phone’s on-screen keyboard doesn’t send a key event for each letter, so this tool reads the input and beforeinput events your keyboard fires and verifies the text it produces — the reliable signal a browser can read.
