Speaker & Headphone Test Online
A free speaker and headphone tester for verifying left-right channel balance, bass response, and stereo imaging. Play test tones and audio samples to check your audio output.
How to Test Your Speakers
Press Play — the tone goes to both channels; the L and R circles light up as they play
Press "Left", then "Right": each side should sound alone. "Ping-pong" alternates them for you
Answer "What did you actually hear?" — the tool names the fault and what to do next
Tabs "Surround" and "Frequency" add 5.1/7.1 positions, a tone generator and a blown-speaker check
Verify your speakers, headphones, or surround system in seconds
Phase Test
Checks if left and right speakers are wired correctly. In-phase sounds full and centered, out-of-phase sounds thin and hollow.
Tone Generator
Frequency Response
Test how your speakers handle different frequency ranges. Listen for drops, peaks, or distortion.
Speaker Health Check
Plays a slow frequency sweep. Listen carefully for buzzing, rattling, or crackling — signs of a damaged speaker driver.

What describes your problem?
No sound at all
- Check that your device is not on silent/mute mode (iPhone side switch, Android volume buttons).
- Go to sound settings and make sure the correct output device is selected.
- Try a different browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge).
- Reload the page — your browser may have blocked audio autoplay.
- Restart your device if nothing else works.
Sound from one side only
- Try different headphones or speakers to rule out a hardware issue.
- Check the audio balance in your OS sound settings — it may be shifted to one side.
- Inspect the cable and connector — gently wiggle the plug.
- For Bluetooth: disconnect and re-pair the device.
Distorted or crackling
- Lower the volume — your speaker may be overdriven.
- If your device got wet, use our Speaker Cleaner to eject water.
- Clean the speaker grille with a soft brush to remove dust.
- Check if an equalizer with boosted bass is enabled.
Too quiet
- Make sure volume is at maximum in both the app and system settings.
- Disable "Do Not Disturb" or quiet/sleep mode.
- Clean the speaker grille — dust can muffle sound. Try our Speaker Cleaner.
- Check sound settings for a volume limiter.
