The QR codes are signed, so a photographed or edited ticket is caught, and duplicate scans are flagged automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Is the ticket generator free?

Yes — free, with no account and no limit on the number of events or tickets.

How does scanning catch a fake ticket?

Each event has its own secret key. Every ticket QR carries a signature made with that key, so the scanner can confirm a ticket is genuine and was not edited. A ticket QR copied or photographed stays valid — but the first scan checks it in, and any later scan of the same number is shown as “already checked in”.

Does the scanner need an internet connection?

No. Once you load the event file onto the scanning device, verifying tickets and recording check-ins works fully offline. That is ideal for venues with poor signal.

Can two people scan at different gates?

Yes. Each device keeps its own check-in log; afterwards you can export one device’s log and merge it into another so the totals reconcile.

How many tickets can I make at once?

From a single ticket up to many thousands. Large batches take a little longer to generate and export, and the tab stays responsive while it runs.

Can I save an event and come back later?

Yes. Save the event to this device, or download the event file and re-open it on any device — including the phone you will scan with.
