Photo editor with layers and non-destructive edits

Two things. Each hop between separate tools re-encodes the image, so quality drops before you have done anything wrong — here the photo is decoded once and written once. And every heavy step stays editable: you can switch off step two after doing step seven instead of starting again.

Yes. Adjustments run on the graphics card over a preview-sized copy, so the sliders stay live on a 50-megapixel file, and the export renders in tiles when the picture is larger than the browser's canvas limit — which is where most editors silently produce a blank or zero-byte file.

PNG, WebP and AVIF keep it. JPEG has no alpha channel, so the editor warns you before export and fills the background with a colour you choose instead of leaving it to the encoder, which picks black in some browsers and white in others.

Drop several files. The first opens for editing and the rest queue up; when you export, the same recipe — colour, effects, text, shapes and export settings — is applied to each and you get a ZIP.

Yes, each model is fetched once and then cached by the browser. Buttons whose model cannot run on your device are greyed out with the reason rather than failing after a long wait.

Save a project file. It contains the layer tree, every recorded step and the untouched originals, so reopening restores the document exactly, with all adjustments still live.
