Frequently asked questions

Where does the voice get its text?

From the speaker notes — the field under each slide in PowerPoint. The voice reads the notes of every slide that has them; a slide without notes stays as long as it takes to read the slide itself. You can add missing notes in the “Presentation Maker” and build the video right there.

How long does a slide without a voice stay up?

Three seconds plus about a third of a second for every word on the slide, but no less than 3 and no more than 15 seconds. For an even pace, choose “Seconds per slide” and set a number.

How is the voice billed?

The voice uses tokens by the number of characters in the notes — the price is shown before you build. Tokens are charged only once the video is ready; if the build stops, they’re returned, and building again with the same text doesn’t charge twice.

Will PowerPoint animations be in the video?

Each slide is shown in its final state — with every object that appears on click in PowerPoint. Between slides you can choose a smooth fade or a cut.
