Why a real .apkg file matters

Most “flashcard maker” tools give you a list you still have to retype into Anki. This builds the actual deck file — a proper .apkg that imports in one click on Anki desktop, AnkiDroid and AnkiMobile, with the schema Anki expects. The cards use Anki's built-in text-to-speech, so they speak each word without bundling heavy audio files. It is the kind of artefact a chatbot cannot produce — a binary deck, built right in your browser.

What format should my word list be in?

One word or phrase per line. To set the back of the card too, write “word — meaning” (or “word | meaning”, or use a comma). Without a meaning, the back shows the IPA.

Will the deck import into my Anki?

How do the cards speak the word?
