Why spaced repetition works
Spaced repetition shows you each saved word again just before you would forget it. By spacing reviews further apart as a word sticks, you remember far more with much less effort than re-reading a list — the same method used by Anki and serious language learners.

How often does the word change?
A new Word of the Day appears every day, the same for everyone. In Learn mode you can move through more words at your own pace.
Where are my saved words kept?
Your saved words and learning progress are kept in your browser. Sign in with a verified account to sync them across your devices.
What level are the words?
Words are chosen at CEFR levels B1 to C2 — genuinely useful vocabulary, not the most basic words like “book” and not rare ones you would never use.
What is spaced repetition?
A proven study method that brings each word back just before you would forget it, so it sticks in long-term memory with less effort.
Can I suggest a word for the list?
Yes — "Add a word" sends it to us, and a person reads every submission before it can appear for anyone else, which is why a suggestion does not show up the same day. What gets accepted is a word that earns a place in someone's vocabulary: interesting to learn, useful to know, and clear enough to define in a sentence. What does not: inside jokes, slurs, brand names, and words whose only claim is being long. If you are suggesting something regional or specialist, say so in the note — a word that is ordinary in one country and unknown in the next is worth having, but only if the entry says which is which.
Can I export my words to Anki?
Yes. In the Saved tab you can export your list to Anki or CSV and keep studying in your favorite app.
