One frame, not two panels
Both takes live in the same coordinate space at full size, with no border and no shrinking — the result reads as one continuous shot of the room.
The seam finds itself
The tool compares the takes, marks in red where they disagree, and runs the line through the strip of frame where nothing is moving.
A knocked tripod is measured, not guessed
The shift between takes is read off the static background and removed, and brightness is matched on the pixels the takes agree about.
You can walk through the seam
Silhouette mode cuts the person out on every frame, and works out the empty room from the take itself — no model download needed.

Clone effect questions

How do I shoot the two takes?

Put the camera on a tripod or a steady surface and do not touch it between takes. Record the first part standing on one side of the frame, then the second on the other. The background has to stay identical — that is what makes the join invisible.

What if I walk across the middle?

Two ways. Add a seam mark before and after the crossing and the line will glide out of your way. Or switch the mask to silhouette mode, which cuts around the person on every frame so you can cross freely.

Can I use more than two takes?

Up to four. Every take after the first gets its own mask, so you can build three or four people into the same room.

How do I stop the voices overlapping?

The tool detects where each take actually speaks and can lay the takes out so the lines alternate. You can also move any take by hand on the timeline, mute it, or nudge its audio against the picture.

Why is the join still visible?

Usually the takes differ in brightness — press Match brightness. If it is the line itself, raise the seam softness. If the background is offset between the takes, press Align first.
