What video format do I get?

On Chrome, Edge and Yandex Browser you get a hardware-encoded H.264 MP4. Safari and iOS also produce MP4. On Firefox you get a WebM that plays in modern players.

Do I need to install an app?

No. The recording is captured and encoded right in your browser using WebCodecs — just allow camera access and record.

Can I read from a teleprompter?

Yes. Turn on the teleprompter, paste your script, and it scrolls over the camera while you record. Adjust the speed and font size to match your pace.

Is the video mirrored?

The live preview is mirrored so it feels like a mirror, but the saved video is not flipped — text reads correctly. You can opt to save it mirrored if you prefer.
