Recording audio while you switch to another app? Pick “Entire screen” + “Share system audio”, or turn on the microphone — those keep recording. A single browser tab can go silent if its page pauses in the background, and an app window shares no audio at all.

Screen Recording on iPhone/iPad
Recording the screen from inside a browser is not possible on phones — no mobile browser supports it, so there is no Record button here. Your device records the screen itself:
- Open Control Centre (swipe down from top-right corner)
- Tap the Screen Recording button (circle icon)
- Recording starts after a 3-second countdown
- Tap the red status bar at the top to stop
- Video is saved to your Photos app
Tip: If you don't see the button, go to Settings > Control Centre and add Screen Recording.
Screen Recording in Safari
Safari does not support web-based screen recording. Use QuickTime Player (File > New Screen Recording) or the built-in Screenshot toolbar (Cmd+Shift+5).
Screen Recording on Android
Recording the screen from inside a browser is not possible on phones — no mobile browser supports it, so there is no Record button here. Your device records the screen itself:
- Swipe down from the top of the screen twice to open Quick Settings
- Tap "Screen Record" (you may need to swipe left to find it)
- Choose whether to record audio and show touches, then tap Start
- Swipe down and tap the notification to stop recording
Tip: If you don't see Screen Record in Quick Settings, tap the pencil icon to add it. Available on Android 11+. For older versions, try AZ Screen Recorder from the Play Store.
