How to Use

What is AAC?

AAC stands for Augmentative and Alternative Communication. It includes any method that helps people communicate when speech is difficult or impossible, such as symbol boards, sign language, and speech-generating devices.

Yes. The board is designed for touch screens and works well on tablets, which are commonly used as AAC devices. Use the Large button size for easier targeting.

Is this a replacement for a dedicated AAC device?

This is a basic free AAC tool. Dedicated AAC devices and apps (like Proloquo2Go, TouchChat, LAMP) offer more features, vocabulary, and customization. This tool can serve as an introduction or backup.

Does it support multiple languages?

Yes. The interface and symbol labels are available in English, Russian, Korean, Arabic, and Indonesian. The text-to-speech voice uses your browser language setting.
