Roman / arabic / prefix labels (/PageLabels) come through and re-anchor to the new layout. A document numbered "i, ii, 1, 2, 3" stays "i, ii, 1, 2, 3" even after shuffling.

No cap on the page count

Frequently asked questions

I dragged a page — how do I know where it will land?

The thumbnail you are dragging shows its new position while you move it, and the other pages slide aside to make room, so you drop it where you can already see it. Nothing is committed until you download, so a wrong drop is just another drag back.

The whole document was scanned back to front.

One click on Reverse flips the entire order — you do not need to drag 180 thumbnails. It is also the quickest fix for PDFs assembled from a stack that was fed upside down, and for right-to-left books that were scanned as if they read left to right.

Can I delete pages here, or does that need another tool?

You can do it here: click the × on any page and it grays out but stays visible, so you can change your mind before saving. If deleting is all you came for, the page removal tool adds a blank-page sweep and a live counter that this one does not have.

Will the contents still jump to the right chapter after the shuffle?

Yes. The outline is rebuilt against the new layout, nested chapters and named destinations included, so a link that pointed at chapter four still opens chapter four wherever it now sits. Switch the option off and you get a file with no outline at all.

Do the page numbers printed on the pages change?

No, and this catches people out. A number printed in the corner is part of the page image — moving the page moves the number with it. What is remapped is the PDF's own labeling, the thing your reader shows in its page box. To renumber what is visibly printed, add a fresh layer with the page numbering tool.
