How to play

Pick a chord

On the Chords tab, tap the chord card you need — the diagram shows the finger position.

Switch to Strum

Open the Strum tab to see the strings on a wooden board. The selected chord is held, muted strings are crossed out.

Play it

Swipe the strum zone up or down, or tap strings one by one for arpeggio.

Enable a pattern

Pick a pattern on the right and click Auto-play — the instrument will perform the rhythm at the chosen tempo. To make it change chords on its own, queue them in the Chord sequence strip above the fretboard.

Record the take and take the file

Hit Record to capture audio, then download the file.

FAQ

How does the sound work?

The guitar uses the Karplus-Strong algorithm — physical modeling of vibrating strings through Web Audio API. No audio samples are loaded.

What do the chord diagrams show?

Each diagram is a fragment of the fretboard: vertical lines are strings from 6th (bass) on the left to 1st on the right, horizontal lines are frets. Numbers in circles are fingers (1=index, 4=pinky), × above is a muted string, ○ is open. The xRRRRR string under the diagram is the compact finger pattern.

How does the capo work?

Pick a fret 1–7 in the Capo block on the Strum tab — all strings will sound that many semitones higher. The chord shapes stay the same but ring out in the new key.

What are the strum patterns?

Ready-made rhythm templates: "Down only" — 4 downstrokes; "D D U U D U" — universal pop; "Waltz 3/4" — three beats; "Reggae" — off-beat accents; "Shuffle" — blues shuffle; "Arpeggio" — sequential string plucking.

Which alternate tunings can I switch to?

Standard E, Drop D, Open G, Open D, and DADGAD. Open Settings below the instrument — volume and reverb are there too.

Can I capture what I play and keep the file?

Yes. Click Record to start capturing audio. Click again to stop and download the file (WebM on desktop, M4A on iOS).

Are there keyboard shortcuts?

Yes. Keys 1-6 pluck individual strings. Enter / Arrow Down strums down, Arrow Up strums up. A-G select chords (Shift = minor), Space in the strum zone strums down.

Can I set several chords in a row so the guitar plays them one after another?

Yes. On the Strum tab press Build and pick your chords — they queue up in the order you tap them, and the guitar loops through them with your strum pattern, changing chord right on the bar line. The number on a chip is how many bars to hold that chord (1, 2 or 4), chips are reordered by dragging, and the sequence is kept for your next visit. Chords outside the quick set are added with the button on the Chords tab.
