Bass Guitar Online With a Band and an Amp
An online tool for playing bass guitar: every string is a physical model checked against recordings of real bass guitars. 17 genres from blues, soul and reggae to thrash and death metal, fingers or pick, four and five strings, bass amps and cabinets. A band — drums and rhythm guitar — plays the genre, and a meter shows whether you are on the beat.

Recording
A take keeps your playing, not the sound of the speakers: change the genre, the amp or the cabinet and the same take plays with the new tone.

Plug in your own bass
The same chain works with a real bass guitar: connect it through an audio interface with an instrument input or a USB cable. The tuner and noise gate are set for the low strings.
Listen in wired headphones: from speakers the sound comes back into the microphone and howls, and Bluetooth adds tens of milliseconds of delay.
Settings
The bass strings are calibrated on electric-bass recordings from NSynth (Magenta, CC BY 4.0) and BabySlakh (CC BY 4.0). Drums — Versilian Community Sample Library (CC0). Guitar cabinet impulses — Jester Dyne Productions (CC0).
