Blank maps to fill in online and print
An online tool for filling in blank outline maps on a phone or computer: the world, the hemispheres, the continents, Europe and Russia. Find a river, sea, mountain range or city by name and the tool labels it the way teachers ask; add symbols, current arrows and colors yourself, then print the map on Letter or A4 or save it.
How to fill in a blank map online
The world, the hemispheres, a continent, Europe or Russia; turn on country borders if you need them.
Type the name of a river, sea or mountain range and tap Label — it’s placed by the rules.
Pick a tool above the map and tap the map; write in the key what each symbol means.
Add your name to the header and save the PDF — it prints on Letter or A4 at 100% scale.
Fill in a blank map and print it on one sheet
Tap a name and the feature flashes on the map. “Label” writes it the way teachers ask: a river along its course, a sea or a plain inside it, a peak to the right of its dot; if the name doesn’t fit, a number goes on the map and the name into the key.
Check yourself
The map without your labels: find an object with a tap or name the highlighted one. The answer is shown on the map, and you can go over your mistakes again.
Label a list (assignment)
Paste the objects from the assignment — comma-separated or one per line. Each is labeled by the rules, and you’ll see what wasn’t found.
Map layers
With the zone borders on, the Fill tool colors a whole zone: the taiga, the steppes, the tundra. Zones follow the RESOLVE ecoregions map, simplified for a lesson.
State borders for the chosen year, to color in and label (Fill colors a whole state). It is one version historians give: disputed borders differ between textbooks.
Fills print in shades of gray and labels and symbols in black, so nothing disappears without color.

Labels turn into numbers where they stood, and the legend gets lines for answers; the PDF adds an answer key for the teacher as page 2.
The PDF is vector: lines and labels stay sharp when printed on Letter, A4 or A3 at 100% scale.
For a class
The first opens this map for a student as their own starting copy. The second opens “Check yourself” on the objects you labeled.
