Private group chat by link, no signup
A free private chat tool for small groups. Create an end-to-end encrypted room with one click, invite people by link or QR code, and talk privately — your messages are encrypted in your browser with AES-256-GCM (the same cipher Signal, WhatsApp and TLS use). The encryption key lives in the URL fragment of the invite link (the part after the # symbol), which browsers do not send to any server. No accounts, no installs, no phone numbers. Up to 12 friends in one room — perfect for a quick study group, family planning, or a temporary back-channel without spinning up another Slack workspace.
How to create a private chat
Open the private-chat page and enter your display name
Click "Create room" to generate a new encrypted room with a unique invite link
Copy the link or show the QR code to the people you want to add
Each invitee opens the link in their browser and joins instantly — no signup needed
Type messages, reply, mention people by name — everything is encrypted in your browser
When you are done, click "Leave room" — the room disappears once everyone exits
Anonymous encrypted group chat for friends and teams, right in your browser
