Frequently Asked Questions

Which words does the tool detect?

By default it mutes Russian obscene roots and their derivatives. Rude words and mild euphemisms can be enabled with separate toggles, and you can add any words to the custom blacklist.

Will my video quality drop?

No. The video stream is copied without re-encoding (codec copy); only the audio track is rebuilt, encoded as AAC 192 kbps.

What languages are supported?

Currently the recognizer is tuned for Russian speech (GigaAM, trained on 700,000 hours of Russian audio). More languages are in development.

What if it misses a word or flags a clean one?

Every decision is visible before export: click any word in the transcript to mute it manually, or select a section right on the waveform. A wrong detection is removed with one click; fuzzy matches are marked separately.

Can I replace profanity with my own sound?

Yes: pick the "My own sound" mode and upload a short audio file — it will replace every muted section. The first 30 seconds of the file are used, looping over longer sections, with adjustable volume. The picture is not affected.

How fast is it?

Recognition runs several times faster than the recording length: a 10-minute video typically takes 2–3 minutes depending on your device. The 225 MB model downloads once and is cached by the browser.
