Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from blurring?

Blur hides text under a smudge that is still visible. This tool rebuilds the background: for subtitles it recovers real pixels from the moments between lines, on moving shots it pulls the background revealed by motion, and only the never-visible remainder is synthesized by inpainting.

Does it work on a static shot?

Yes — a locked-off shot with changing subtitles is the best case: the background behind each line is recovered from the moments when that line is not on screen, pixel for pixel.

Can it remove a permanent logo or watermark?

Yes. If the overlay never disappears, the area is filled with edge-aware inpainting (plus an AI fill on complex backgrounds where available). On busy textures a faint trace may remain — check the preview.

Can it follow a moving watermark?

Yes — add 2–3 keyframes along its path and the region will move with it. This also works for the drifting watermarks added by AI video generators.

Why did nothing change on some frames?

The engine detects when the text is actually on screen; frames without text are passed through untouched, so quality is never lost where nothing needs removing.

Is it okay to remove watermarks?

Remove text only from videos you own or have the rights to edit. Removing someone else's watermark or copyright notice may violate the law in your country.
