What video metadata can I edit?

You can edit the container-level tags — title, artist, album, album artist, composer, genre, creation date, comment, description, copyright, director and network — for MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM and AVI files. Technical details and per-stream info are shown read-only.

Will editing re-encode or reduce quality?

No. The video and audio streams are copied byte-for-byte (a container remux); only the metadata header is rewritten. There is no re-encoding, so quality and file size stay the same and it finishes in seconds.

How do I remove GPS location from a video?

Videos recorded on a phone often embed the GPS coordinates. Open "Remove metadata", keep "GPS location" checked and click Remove & download — the location atoms are cleared while your title and other tags are kept.

Can I change the creation date of a video?

Yes. Click the edit icon next to "Creation date" and pick a new date and time. This rewrites the container creation timestamp — useful when the camera clock was wrong.

Which formats are supported?
