An image of a signature is not the same as a certificate-based digital signature. In many countries a typed or drawn signature can count as an electronic signature when the parties agree to sign that way, but some documents still require a wet-ink signature or a qualified certificate. When in doubt, ask the party that requested your signature which form they accept.

Download the PNG without background and insert it via Insert → Pictures, then set Wrap Text to “In Front of Text” and move it onto the line. The file carries its print size, so it lands at the width you chose — 40, 50, 60 or 80 mm. You can also press Copy and paste it with Ctrl+V.

Yes. In “From photo”, upload a photo, scan or PDF, choose the page and draw a box around the signature. Paper, shadows, grid and ruled lines are removed and the ink keeps soft edges; the “Background cleanup” slider adjusts the threshold for faint ink or dark paper.

PNG is a pixel image with a transparent background that Word, Google Docs, email and most PDF editors accept. SVG and PDF are vector: the signature is made of outlines and stays sharp at any zoom, which suits print, design and websites. JPG opens everywhere but always has a white background.

A practical signature is short and recognizable — often the first letters of the surname with a flourish, or an initial and the surname. Type your name, try “Short” and “With initial”, then trace the idea you like several times in the Draw tab until your hand remembers the movement.

Ideas use only handwriting fonts that can write every letter of your name; an accent a font lacks is added with the pen. Fewer fonts cover Cyrillic, Korean or Arabic than basic Latin, but no letter is ever replaced by a box or a mismatched font. More ideas tries new layouts and flourishes with the same fonts.
