PDF Editor With Text Editing

Yes — there is a dedicated “Edit text” tool. Click a line and the editor measures the paper colour beneath it, its size and position, covers the old glyphs with a patch of that same colour and opens the line for typing in a suitable font. That is how text editing works in any PDF editor: the format stores glyphs placed at coordinates rather than paragraphs, so nobody can reflow a page in a browser. The limits are stated honestly: rotated lines are not supported, and if the background under the line is not uniform the editor warns you, because the patch will show.

No, and the editor says so plainly. The patch hides the old glyphs visually, but they remain inside the document and can be extracted by copying. If the content has to be removed for real there is “Redact”: it turns the page into an image and the text under the bar is gone from the file. The PDF built-in fonts (Helvetica, Times, Courier) contain Latin only — there are no Cyrillic, Arabic or CJK characters in them at all. If an editor does not embed a font of its own, there is simply nothing to draw the letters with. And the “Recognise” button builds a text layer for the page right here — after that find-and-replace work on the document, and you do not need to open a separate OCR tool.

The editor offers to carry on next time you come back: a draft is kept in the browser as you work. Offers — but does not open it by itself: on a shared computer, someone else's contract appearing unasked is worse than lost edits. Once the file is saved successfully the draft is deleted.

If the file was built by an unusual program or is damaged, the editor offers to open “Repair PDF”: that tool rebuilds the document structure, after which the file usually opens here too.
