Birth poster: a print with your baby’s birth details

The layout is built for A4 — 210 × 297 mm, portrait. In the print dialog choose margins “None”, otherwise the printer shrinks the sheet and the footprint frame stops being life size. For a print shop, download the image: it saves at 300 dpi, which is 2480 × 3508 pixels.

It is worked out from length: a newborn’s foot is roughly 15% of the body, so a 52 cm baby gives a frame of about 78 mm. It is a reference — if you want precision, measure the foot and adjust the length until the frame matches, or simply stamp over the outline.

It is one of the most common reasons people make one. Print on heavy paper from 200 g/m² — ordinary office paper shows through and looks worse. The dark style eats a lot of toner on a home printer; for that one a print shop is better.

Make two sheets, one each: the babies have different weights, lengths and times of birth, and those pairs read badly on one sheet. Your entries are kept in the browser, so after printing the first you only need to replace the values and print the second.
