Birth poster: a print with your baby’s birth details

An online birth poster maker. A print with the name, date, time, weight and length is assembled in the browser and visible in full from the start: the layout opens already filled, so it needs adjusting rather than building from nothing. The finished sheet prints on A4 or saves as a 300 dpi image for a print shop.

How to make a birth poster

1

Type the name, date and time of birth — the poster updates on every keystroke.

2

Enter weight and length; add head circumference and place of birth if you want them.

3

Pick a style and, if you like, upload a photograph.

4

Press Download for a 300 dpi file, or Print for a full-bleed A4 sheet.

5

If you kept the footprint frame, stamp the footprint onto the printed sheet.

The frame prints at life size and is worked out from length: a newborn’s foot is about 15% of the body. Stamp the footprint straight onto the printed sheet.

In the print dialog choose A4, portrait and margins “None” — the layout already fills the sheet. The file saves at 300 dpi, which is enough for a home printer and for a print shop.
