Drum Remover — Remove Drums from a Song Online

In our measurements on a standard test set the drums in the “without drums” track drop by about 20 dB, and the rest of the music changes by less than half a decibel. What can remain: the reverb tail of a snare, a faint cymbal wash in dense choruses. Percussion that sounds like a drum kit — claps, shakers — may leave together with the drums. Listen to both tracks together before downloading: that is what the console is for.

Yes. The two tracks add up to the original song, so the slider next to “Drums” sets how much of them is left — half, a quarter, barely audible. “Download mix” saves that balance as one file. With both sliders at full the mix is simply the file you uploaded, so that download is declined.

The model is large. On the processor one eight-second piece of a song takes about twenty seconds, which turns a whole track into a quarter of an hour on a fast desktop and far more on a weaker machine. On a discrete graphics card, through WebGPU, the same piece takes well under a second. Before the first run the tool checks the card against a known answer, and a card that computes the model incorrectly is not used. Where WebGPU is missing, the Stem Splitter does the same separation on the server.

Yes. “Split the drums into kick, snare and toms” hands the drum part to the Drum Separator with no download and re-upload in between: there it is broken into parts, each with its own fader, and the hits export as MIDI.

Yes: the full arrangement — bass, guitars, keys, vocals — without the kit. The rest of the music is left untouched, so tempo and tuning stay those of the record and you play along with the original feel. A count-in or a click is not added.
