EU product label and GPSR checklist for online sellers

An online tool for sellers who ship to the European Union: from one product card it builds a dated checklist of GPSR, CE, WEEE, battery, toy, textile and packaging rules for each country, print-ready labels for the product, the packaging and the parcel, and texts for the GPSR fields of Etsy, eBay, Amazon and Temu. Fiber names, toy warnings and hazard statements come from the official texts of EU law in 24 languages.

How to make an EU product label

1
Describe the product

Category, markets, manufacturer and the EU responsible person; the checklist updates as you type.

2
Close the gaps

Each line says which field is still empty — fibers, warnings, identifiers, registration numbers.

3
Print and paste

Pick the label kind and the size, download the PDF, and copy the texts into your listing.

Make GPSR and EPR labels for selling in the EU

Product

What it is

GPSR asks for a type, batch or serial number on the product — at least one of them.

Where you sell

Northern Ireland follows EU product rules. Every country you ship to counts, even for one parcel.

Manufacturer

If you make the product yourself, you are the manufacturer — handmade included. An email or a dedicated contact section of a site counts as an electronic address; a bare homepage likely does not (Commission guidelines C(2025) 7699).

Responsible person in the EU

A manufacturer outside the EU cannot be its own responsible person. Their details may go on the product, the packaging, the parcel or an accompanying document (GPSR Art. 16(3)) — the parcel insert below is built for exactly that.

Packaging

Italy wants the 97/129 code of each part, Spain the bin for each part, France the Triman with sorting instructions. The shipping box of an online order is packaging too.

Registration numbers

Where to register and what each number is called — EPR check.

Built from the texts of the acts listed under each line, checked 21.10.2026. This is not legal advice and not a conformity assessment: the tool does not test the product and does not say it complies.

Official wording: EUR-Lex consolidated texts (Reg. 1007/2011, Dir. 2009/48, Reg. 1272/2008, Reg. 1223/2009, Reg. 2023/988), fetched 2026-10-21. Symbols: European Commission (CE), ADEME (Triman), redrawn legal pictures.
