Online Metronome for Guitar, Piano and Drums

An online tool for practicing with a metronome: a precise click from 10 to 400 beats per minute, any time signature from 2/4 to 12/8, accents on every beat, triplets and sixteenths. The metronome keeps time in a background tab, and the trainer raises the tempo to your goal.

How to use the metronome

1
Set the tempo

Drag the scale, press the number to type it, or tap the tempo with the Tap button.

2
Choose the meter and subdivision

Time signature and sound are above the number, the subdivision is under the beat bars. Press a bar to make its beat strong, soft or silent.

3
Press Start or the space bar

Below the metronome: count-in, speed trainer, timer, silent bars, polyrhythm and an MP3 click track.

Speed trainerThe metronome raises the tempo to your goal Off
To
By every bars

Start at a tempo you can play without mistakes and add 2–4 beats at a time. After Stop the tempo returns to where it started, so the next Start repeats the exercise. A goal below the starting tempo slows down instead.

Practice timerStops the metronome after the time you set Off

Time is counted from pressing Start.

Silent barsCheck whether you hold the tempo without the click Off

The metronome goes quiet while the beats on the screen keep moving. If you land on the click when it comes back, the tempo is yours.

SwingUneven eighths for jazz, blues and funk Off

Swing amount: 0%

The second eighth of every pair moves later. If the beat is not subdivided, the metronome switches on eighths for you.

Second-layer clicks split the bar evenly and meet the main beat on one. For 3 against 2, choose 2/4.

Minute of silence

The metronome counts exactly as long as you need — even 46 seconds — and stops by itself. Choose the tick and tempo, add a signal, start right away or at an exact clock time, and put the countdown on the full screen for the hall. The radio metronome of besieged Leningrad ticked at 50 beats per minute.
