The Russian letter ё is always stressed, so restoring it (берёза, полёт) already shows the stress. Turn on “Restore ё” — only unambiguous cases are replaced; debatable ones (все/всё) are left alone.

Learners, singers, and anyone reading aloud something they did not write. Russian stress is not written and not predictable: it moves between forms of the same word, it changes the vowels around it, and in a handful of pairs it changes the meaning outright — за́мок is a castle and замо́к is a lock. Native speakers only need marks in those ambiguous pairs and in unfamiliar names; a learner needs them everywhere, because a wrong stress makes a correctly pronounced word unrecognisable. Actors and announcers use marked text for the same reason a musician uses a score: to be sure at speed, without stopping to think.
