Word to JPG — turn document pages into images

An online tool that turns a Word document into pictures: for application forms and upload fields that accept only JPG or PNG, for messengers and social networks where a page has to open without Word, and for slides. Every page of the .docx becomes a separate image — page size, margins, headers and footers, tables and pictures come from the file itself, and Word’s fonts are replaced with metric-compatible ones, so lines break where they break in Word. What it does

Pagination is computed from the document, not from breaks: a page ends where the space ends, and a line is never sliced in half.

Calibri, Cambria, Arial, Times New Roman and Courier New are swapped for metric-compatible faces — the character widths match, so the layout does not shift on someone else's device.

If the .docx carries embedded fonts, those are used instead — the most faithful result possible.

The tool tells you what it did to your fonts before you download anything.

How it differs from a screenshot and from PDF-based converters

A screenshot gives you what fit on the screen, at screen resolution, interface included; the “Word → PDF → JPG” route is two tools, two uploads and no preview at all. Here the whole page is rendered at its own size — A4 at 300 DPI is 2480×3508 pixels — with margins and headers in place, the pages are visible before you download, and the tool names the fonts it replaced. The result is the same on a phone and on a computer.

Questions

Is the old Word .doc format supported?

Yes, with a caveat. The text and paragraph order are read out of a .doc, but a browser cannot reproduce the layout of that era — you get your text on a clean A4 page, and the tool says so plainly. If you need the exact layout, open the file in Word or Google Docs and save it as .docx.

Why is the page count different from Word?

The layout is computed by the browser, not by Word, and small font differences accumulate. When the file records a page count, the tool shows the disagreement on the page so you know rather than guess.

Can I select the text in the image?

No — an image is pixels. If you need selectable text, convert the document to PDF instead.

Which resolution should I pick?

150 DPI is enough for screens and upload forms. Choose 300 DPI if the image will be printed: an A4 page comes out 2480×3508.

JPG or PNG?

For ordinary text pages PNG gives sharper letters but a bigger file. JPG is smaller; below about 80% quality a halo appears around the letters.

What happens to fonts I do not have?

Calibri, Cambria, Arial, Times New Roman and Courier New are replaced with metric-compatible equivalents — same character widths, so line breaks and pagination survive. Anything else is left to the browser, and the tool says so in the report.

Do headers, footers and page numbers appear in the image?

Yes, they are drawn on every page, the way Word does.

How do I get one image instead of an archive?

Turn on “All pages as one tall image” — the pages are stitched top to bottom into a single file. The size is worked out in advance: if the image would be larger than a browser can assemble at the chosen resolution, the tool says so before starting and tells you which DPI would fit.

I only need the first page — how do I avoid downloading everything?

Press “First” above the preview, untick the pages you do not need, or type a range like “1-3, 7”. A single selected page downloads straight away as a file, with no archive.

How do I send the picture to Telegram or WhatsApp from my phone?

After saving, press “Share” — the picture goes straight to a messenger, to Photos or over AirDrop. The button appears on phones and tablets whose browser can share files; on a computer the file simply downloads.
