Meet a new tool — the Face Maker. Build a three-dimensional human head: shape, color, expression and pose are set with sliders, and the result downloads as an image, a video or a 3D model.

How it works. Inside is an open statistical model of the human head: 30 “dimensions” of face shape (width, jaw, nose, cheekbones…) and 45 expression parameters — eyelids, lips, tongue and even pupil size. Every slider move instantly recomputes 17,821 points of the 3D mesh right in your browser.

Gallery and random faces. Seven ready-made faces with live 3D thumbnails — start from them or hit “Random face”: the variations are practically endless. All faces are synthetic; they are not photos of real people.

Color and details. Six skin tones, six eye colors and a separate pupil-size slider. The lips automatically adapt to the chosen skin tone.

Export anywhere. A 1080×1080 PNG — with a transparent background if you like, a ready avatar. A 360° turntable video for social media. And for 3D editors — a GLB or OBJ model that opens in Blender and other apps.

Share a face with one link. The “Share” button packs all the settings into a link — open it on any device and the face is restored exactly. Your latest work is saved in the browser automatically.

We have opened the endless piano — a generator of calm piano music. It is not an mp3 file and not a playlist: the melody is composed on the fly by an algorithm built on the rules of classical harmony — question-and-answer phrases, real cadences, suspensions and resolutions. Start it now and the music will not end and will not loop: even a hundred years of continuous play would never repeat. And it sounds like a real grand piano — the notes are studio recordings of a concert instrument.

Who it is for. Anyone who works, studies or falls asleep to music — there is a sleep timer with a gentle fade-out, and it takes any duration: even 7 hours 35 minutes. Owners of studios, workshops and small venues who need unobtrusive background sound without music licenses or streaming subscriptions: open the tab, and your theatre studio has a live, never-repeating piano all evening. The music keeps playing in a background tab, too.

Four moods — calm, dreamy, melancholic and nostalgic — plus tempo, reverb and octave range. Tell us in the comments what you would play it for — we will shape it around real scenarios.

We have opened a new tool — virtual drums. Play it with the mouse, the keyboard, touch, or a MIDI controller. Inside: acoustic kits built from real samples with several velocity layers, electronic 808 and 909, a world-percussion mode (cajón, bongos, congas, darbuka), a metronome, grooves, lessons that score your timing, a tempo trainer, a looper with overdub, a mixer, and recording with export to WAV, MP3 or MIDI.

A request to people who actually play drums. What we lack is the ear of a practitioner. Play for a couple of minutes and tell us in the comments:
— is there noticeable latency between the hit and the sound (from the keyboard, and from a MIDI controller)?
— how alive do the acoustic kits sound, are there enough velocity layers?
— is the key layout comfortable?
— did your MIDI controller connect, and did the notes land on the right pieces (tell us the model)?
— what is missing: a floor tom, a rimshot, a ride bell, swing in the looper?

And a question for everyone. Is it worth building musical instruments at all — or is this a niche for a narrow circle, and the effort would be better spent elsewhere? Please answer in the comments: it will directly shape what we build next.

It is a single payment for six months — no auto-renewal, no card kept on file — and on the payment page you can take a full year straight away. Premium accounts are the main fuel of our site. The price, in our view, is far outweighed by what you get in return.

The load on our servers grows every month and with every new tool. We are forced to reduce it by giving free accounts lower limits. Please forgive us for that.
We have already upgraded our server plan three times, buying more power each time. What Premium earns goes precisely into making everything work reliably, without errors, for every user. At the same time, we want Premium and Pro accounts to receive more visible advantages.

We are adopting advanced technology and we already compete with large companies. For us that is more stress; for you, it is a better service.

There are already more than 500 tools on the site, and we will try to build at least 50 more this month.

Our planet is alive and never still: every few minutes an earthquake strikes somewhere — usually a small one nobody felt. We normally hear about them only when one is big enough to make the news. Now you can see the whole picture at once.

We've launched a live earthquake map: every quake from the last 24 hours is a dot on the world map, sized by magnitude and colored by depth. A new event flashes with a pulse the moment the networks record it. Tap any circle for its magnitude, depth, place and how many minutes ago it struck, with a link to the official event page.

We merge data from two global seismic networks — USGS and EMSC — so both major quakes worldwide and smaller inland tremors across Europe, the Mediterranean and Asia show up on one map. One tap jumps you to the biggest or the most recent quake — or to whatever is near you.

It's an informational map, not a warning service. Open it, spin the globe — and tell us in the comments the strongest quake on the map right now.

Remember sparklers on New Year's Eve? Wave one in the dark and a glowing line hangs in the air for a split second — and as kids we wished it wouldn't fade, that we could just draw in the air, in the sky, with a finger.

Now you can. Turn on your camera, raise your hand — and a neon line follows your fingertip. No stylus, no screen to touch: you draw in the air, with a gesture. Pinch your thumb and index finger and the pen comes down; open them and it lifts. A little ring sits on your fingertip so you always see where you're drawing and whether the pen is down.

Pick a color, change the thickness, rub things out with the eraser. Flip on dark canvas and the camera fades away, so your lines glow as if in the night sky. Save the result as an image.

And the most amazing part — you can see it with your own eyes. On the right evening, a bright "star" glides silently across the whole sky. It's not a plane (a plane blinks) — it's people passing over your house. It shines because down where you are it's already night, while up there the Sun is still lighting it — like a mirror in the sky.

We've got a new toy for the in-crowd 😎 Type a secret — out comes innocent-looking text made of ordinary words that you can paste into any chat. Your friend pastes it back into our decoder and sees your message word for word, emoji and typos included. Nobody around will have a clue. 🕵️

There's also a sneakier Phrasebook mode: pick a meaning, get an innocent phrase. "Buy some bread" really means "come get me out of here", and "Lovely weather" means "I'm fine". Those in the know get it instantly; everyone else scrolls past. 😏

We've launched a new tool — an interactive 3D Earth globe, and we want it to be the best one on the web. Spin a photoreal planet where the day-and-night line is computed from the current time, so the lit and dark sides match the real world this minute — city lights glow on the night side and the Sun glints off the oceans.

Search any country or city and fly there; turn on borders, clouds, the Moon or a coordinate grid; track the International Space Station live on its real orbit and see when it next passes over you; watch recent earthquakes; measure the great-circle distance between any two points; and scrub time to watch the seasons and the day-night line move. Switch between a realistic Earth and a clean stylized look.

We've launched a new tool — an animal vision simulator: see how a dog, cat, eagle, bee and 11 more animals see the world. Pick an animal and the picture changes — colour, sharpness and night vision are recomputed from real science, not just a «filter». Drag the slider to compare your own eyes with the animal's on the very same image.

Use a built-in scene, upload your own photo or video, or switch on your camera. «Compare all» shows one scene through all 15 animals at once, and the «Road & signs» scene makes it obvious why red and green get confused for colour-blind people and dogs.

Remember the Cities word game? One player names a city, the next names one that starts with its last letter, and the chain goes on. We built an online Cities game and set out to make it the best of its kind.
