Darts Game Online: 501, Cricket and Score Counter

The board has 20 sectors numbered 1 to 20. A dart in a sector scores its number, the narrow outer ring doubles it and the inner ring triples it (a treble). The green ring around the center is 25 and the red center, the bull, is 50. A visit is three darts, so the most you can score in one visit is 180 — three treble 20s.

A leg is one game from the starting score down to zero. In 501 each player starts on 501 and subtracts every visit; the first to reach exactly zero wins, and the last dart must hit a double or the bull. Matches are usually played as first to a number of legs — here you can choose 1, 2, 3 or 5.

If a visit takes your score below zero, leaves 1, or reaches zero without a double, it is a bust: the visit scores nothing and your score goes back to what it was before that visit. The game detects busts on its own and passes the turn.

Choose "Real" board before you start. Then type each visit total on the keypad — or tap the board on screen where each dart landed, which is how cricket and the drills are scored. When you check out, the game asks how many darts went at the double, which gives your checkout percentage. The screen stays on while the game runs.

The center of the bull is 5 ft 8 in (1.73 m) above the floor, and the throw line is 7 ft 9¼ in (2.37 m) from the face of the board measured along the floor; the diagonal from the bull to the line is 9 ft 7⅜ in (2.93 m). This is the standard for steel-tip darts.

Three disciplines from the official Russian darts rules. Score Collection is 10 visits where every dart counts. Sector 20 is 10 visits where only the 20 counts, with its double and treble. Big Round is one visit at each sector from 1 to 20 and a last one at the bull, and only darts in that round's sector count.

Each level is named by its average per visit: 30, 45, 60, 75, 90 or 105 points. The computer throws at the same board with the scatter of a hand and picks checkouts from a chart, like a player; we tested every level over hundreds of 501 legs. It does not adjust its darts to your score.

Choose the "By link" opponent and press Play — a link and a QR code appear. Your friend opens it on their device: each of you throws on your own device in your turn, and the score and hints are the same on both screens. It also works with real boards — then each of you enters your own visits. If the connection drops or a page reloads, the game picks up where it left off.

A hand trembles, and the aim sways with it. Hold the press and the sway calms down and the ring turns green; hold too long and the arm tires and the sway comes back. Release during a calm moment — a small scatter always remains, as in real darts. You can pick how much the hand shakes in the settings.
