Does it keep my way of speaking?

Yes. It shifts only the timbre — pitch, formants, breathiness. Your intonation, rhythm, pauses and emphasis stay intact, because the tool transforms your actual recording instead of re-generating speech from text.

What is auto-calibration and why does it matter?

After loading, the tool measures the median pitch of your voice and shows it in the analysis panel. The shift is computed from your pitch to the target (about 205 Hz for feminine, 120 Hz for masculine): a deep voice gets a bigger shift, a high voice a smaller one. That removes the core defect of simple pitch shifters, which apply one fixed shift to everyone.

How realistic is the result?

For speech the result reads as the other gender for most voices: the pitch lands in the target range, and formants, breathiness and spectral tilt move together. It is still a transformation of your recording, not a voice replacement: singing, shouting or heavy background noise can reveal processing. The cleaner the recording (close to the mic, quiet room), the more natural the result.

How is this different from a regular voice changer?

A general voice changer is built for fun effects — robot, monster, helium. This tool is focused on one job: shifting perceived gender naturally, auto-calibrated to your voice instead of applying the same effect to everyone.

Can I make myself sound like one specific person?

No. This changes the gender character of a voice, not its identity — it will not turn your voice into a named individual's. Converting to a specific target voice is a different technology.
