New tool: a Russian vocabulary & literacy test
A user on the feminitives page asked for «the same kind of dictionary, but to test yourself» — on synonyms, literacy and so on. We did more: a Russian vocabulary & literacy test.
Mark the words you know with «I know / I don't» — it takes a couple of minutes. Some words are invented to catch guessing, so the score stays honest, like in scientific vocabulary tests. At the end you'll see roughly how many Russian words you know, your level, and how you compare — and you can share the result as an image.
There's also an ЕГЭ-style literacy round: word stress and paronyms (надеть vs одеть). The words come from a frequency dictionary and Wiktionary; the checklists are the official exam ones. Test your knowledge!

New tool: a Russian feminitives dictionary
We launched a Russian feminitives dictionary — a reference for feminine forms of Russian profession names with honest register tags: normative, colloquial, bookish, neologism. The topic spiked around 2018 with debates over neologisms like «авторка» and «директорка».
The niche had only a mechanical generator with no register tags. We built a side-by-side variant grid with 188 hand-curated top professions and reverse lookup («авторка» → «автор» card). The data picker also covers German, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Arabic — useful for learners and translators. A reference, not advocacy — the choice is yours.

New tool: write a book together
We launched a collaborative book tool — write a story together, one page at a time. Anyone with a verified email or Pro can start a book with a premise and an opening page; everyone else adds the next page. It's append-only: no one can delete what you wrote, and you can edit your own page for 24 hours. A book finishes when it hits its page limit or when its author closes it — then anyone can download it as a text file. Books can be any genre: comedy, sci-fi, fantasy, detective, fairy tale. We started the first one — a comedy, «The Space Crew»: six strangers from six countries win a free seat to orbit in an internet poll, and have no idea what they're doing. Read it and add the next page. Reading is open to everyone.

New tool: a Schengen 90/180 calculator
We built a Schengen 90/180 calculator — a companion to our visa-free checker. Add your past and planned trips and it shows how many of your 90 days you've used in the rolling 180-day window, how many remain, and the exact date you'd have to leave. It also checks whether a planned trip fits — down to the day it would tip into an overstay — and finds the earliest date you could re-enter for a stay of a given length. A timeline draws your trips on the 180-day window so you can see it at a glance. It counts the entry and exit day the way border control does, runs in your browser, saves your trips on your device, and works in 9 languages. It's a planning aid — border officers always have the final say.

New tool: a career test for teens
A user asked us for career-orientation tests for teenagers — so we built a career test for teens. Rate 60 everyday activities (about 10 minutes) and it maps your interests on the RIASEC / Holland model, then suggests careers that fit you. Each one is shown with its typical pay, projected job growth and how exposed it is to AI — with a link to explore that career's automation outlook. It's free, needs no signup, runs in your browser and works in 9 languages. It's for exploration, not a verdict — interests grow, especially in your teens. New tool: a hash type identifier
A user asked for it, so we built a hash type identifier. Paste a hash and it shows which algorithm most likely produced it: MD5, SHA, bcrypt, Argon2, NTLM, MySQL and dozens more. For self-describing formats it decodes the parameters (cost, memory, iterations, salt), shows the matching hashcat and John modes, handles whole lists and dumps, and — if you know the original text — can prove the algorithm by recomputing it. It only identifies the algorithm: it doesn't crack hashes or reveal passwords, and the analysis runs in your browser. Profanity remover: a big update, now for video too
The "remove profanity" tool for audio and video recognises Russian speech and mutes swear words exactly by timecode — with a beep, silence, a duck, or your own sound, no manual editing. What's new: for video, a visual censor mark right on the picture (dim, shake or a red border), visible even in muted autoplay; a live preview of the effect before you download; the tool now adapts to the file with an audio/video switch; a word-coverage slider and word-list import from a file.
