Photo rescue from a damaged RAW file
A camera RAW file carries the sensor data and, beside it, an ordinary JPEG preview that the camera made itself — usually at full resolution and usually near the front of the file. When the file is damaged the sensor data is beyond recovery, but the preview very often is not, and that is why a photo can come back from a RAW that no converter will open. This tool reads it out, along with the camera and the date.
Any of them: .cr2, .cr3, .nef, .arw, .dng, .rw2, .orf. It is read on your device, and a large file is normal.
