Orchestration check: ranges, breathing, harp pedals
An online tool for checking a score: it reads MusicXML or MIDI and finds the places the orchestra cannot play, or will not play the way you intended. Every finding names a bar and a pitch — and you can hear it.

The ▶ button plays the spot with a plain synthetic tone — this is not your sample library. The point is the interval and its register: muddiness is audible on a simple timbre, whereas samples would turn the question into one about your flute patch.
Bars are counted from the start of the file using its time-signature map. If the score begins with a pickup, your editor's numbering may differ by one.
How the parts were identified
Every finding rests on this guess. If a part was identified wrongly, its findings are wrong too — and you are the only one who can see that. MusicXML carries real part names, so it identifies far more accurately than MIDI. Click a part to see its findings alone.
Instrument ranges

Pitches are sounding, not written: MIDI and MusicXML store real sounding pitch, so a clarinet in B♭ is checked against what the hall will hear.
Range limits and the low interval table are widely accepted guidelines (Adler, Piston, Rimsky-Korsakov), not law: composers break them deliberately and get the effect they wanted. Amateur ranges come from MuseScore's open instrument database — the same numbers that colour a notehead in the editor. The tool points at the places; the decision stays yours. A part whose instrument could not be identified is not checked at all — inventing a range for it would be worse than saying nothing.
