Frequency ear trainer
An online trainer for technical ear training: the tool boosts or cuts one EQ band and you name it. Material can be pink noise, music loops in five styles, or your own track. The processed version is loudness-matched to the original, so you cannot win by noticing which one is louder — only timbre is left to go on.
How to train
The tool plays an excerpt with one band boosted hard and asks whether you hear the difference. Your answers tell it which bands your device really reproduces — and it stops asking about the rest.
Start with pink noise — a band's character is clearest there. Then move to music and to your own track.
Switch with A and B as often as you like. Listen for what changed in character, not for which is louder.
After answering, hear how the correct band sounds and glide from your pick to the right one. Misses are where the ear actually grows.

What to train
Fine tuning
This decides which bands it is fair to ask about.
Start on the octave grid. Move to a denser one when octaves come reliably.
A cut reads more quietly than a boost — it is where most people get stuck. Turn it on once boosts come easily.
A comfortable level where detail is audible without strain. Louder is not more accurate.
